Video: Mario Kart Wii - Play custom tracks using ONLY an SD card - NO HOMEBREW CHANNEL REQUIRED!

✭✭✭✭✭ IMPORTANT: This method is not designed for v4.3. Please see my new video if you have v4.3! This video is also HEAVILY outdated, so I'm not sure how much of the advice will still be useful. That's right... as long as you have an SD card, you can now play custom tracks, NO modding, nothing else, it doesn't matter what version/region your Wii is or anything. Here's how it all works: Introducing, Riivolution. This is neither mine nor Chadderz's work. Riivolution was coded by AerialX, and is an on-the-fly file replacement system for Wii. It reads both the game disc and SD card at the same time, and tricks the Wii into thinking that it should be loading from the SD card sometimes, not the game disc. Which means you can insert custom material on the SD card and the Wii will load it right up. The purpose of Riivolution is to enable the easier creation of game mods. And frankly, it's fulfilling its purpose wonderfully here. The modern version of CTGP no longer uses Riivolution, instead relying on its own special loader with automatic updating and some other features. To download it and all of the custom tracks, come here: http://www.chadsoft.co.uk/install-guide This video demonstrates the loading of Riivolution and custom tracks without using the Homebrew Channel, showing the method used for Wiis of v3.0 to v4.1, just to prove it works and give you guys a look at what to expect. Many thanks to AerialX and everyone who helped him, the people who created Bannerbomb, and the Mario Kart Custom Track Team (Chadderz!!) for making all of this possible. Enjoy the custom tracks! ;) - For those who have texture errors with Chomp Valley, please set your Wii into 60Hz Mode. This can be done from Wii Settings, under "Screen", "TV type". - If you wish to see more about Riivolution, come here: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=215807 - AerialX's Youtube: www.youtube.com/user/AerialX9
